April 2020 Fasting and Prayer Ministry

The focus of the April fasting and prayer weekend was on the coronavirus pandemic, a call to repentance and prayer, and the need for the spiritual oil of the Holy Spirit.

It is usual for the Holy Spirit to speak to us through Pastor Praveen during our church’s fasting and prayer weekends. For the April 2020 sessions, we met via social media for two 1-hour sessions, once on Friday and once on Saturday. This post contains key points from the Saturday session. We have already shared the main points from the Friday session in the blog post “Prophecy: ‘After 2019’”.

Key Points -- Saturday Session

Last year, God showed Pastor Praveen in a dream the heavens standing open. There was rejoicing and shouting in heaven and the angels were very busy. Pastor Praveen asked the angels, “What’s happening?” They answered, “The wedding banquet! The Heavenly Perfect Lamb is coming soon” (see Rev 9:6-9).

The angels were making preparations. The Glorious King is coming back soon. But are we ready? God has anointed us to intercede/pray for others.

Jesus on the cross:

At noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon. And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”). (Mark 15:33-34)

Jesus cried out in a loud voice from the cross. He cried for our repentance, salvation, healing, deliverance, and peace. He is still crying out to the nations – “What’s going on?” We need to repent before the Lord. All nations must repent before the Lord. The church must repent – because He died for us.

At the transfiguration of Jesus:

After six days Jesus took Peter, James and John with him and led them up a high mountain, where they were all alone. There he was transfigured before them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them. And there appeared before them Elijah and Moses, who were talking with Jesus. Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.” (He did not know what to say, they were so frightened.) Then a cloud appeared and covered them, and a voice came from the cloud: “This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!” (Mark 9:2-7; emphasis added)

Are we listening to the Lord? Are we obeying Him? The voice came from a cloud – the cloud was the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus ascended into heaven:

After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. (Acts 1:9; emphasis added)

They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 9:10-11; emphasis added)

Jesus before the Sanhedrin:

“And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.” (Mark 14:62; emphasis added)

Jesus teaching His disciples about the time of the end:

“At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. (Mark 13:26; emphasis added)

After His resurrection, Jesus was taken up to heaven in a cloud – the Holy Spirit. He will come back the same way He went – in a cloud of the Holy Spirit.

Pastor Praveen reminded us of the parable of the 10 virgins (Matthew 25:1-18). The foolish ones did not have enough oil for their lamps. They ran out of oil before the bridegroom came. Pastor Praveen said to guard the oil. You don’t know when the Lord will come. Keep the oil with you to burn in the lamp. The oil is the Holy Spirit. You are the lamp.

Repent! All churches/denominations/spiritual leaders all over the world must repent first. His house must be a house of prayer. Then others will repent.

The good news is… after the disaster, the number of churches will increase all over the world. Many will be saved by God. Many churches are interceding. A great revival is coming. We must ask God to help us prepare.
